Weeks 14 & 15

Only a few weeks in and I’m already behind but October is retail holiday prep month so bring on the longer work hours….anyway, here we go…

Weeks 14 was pretty uneventful, so I’ll just move on to Week 15. I had my second doctors appointment this week and baby nemo (as my friend Melody called the baby) is still swimming. Since my last visit, which was a month ago, I’ve only gained 1/2 a pound, yay go me! Which gives me an official weigh in of 130 lbs. My doctor didn’t seem too concerned since all my test and sonograms are showing normal progression and growth and neither am I. I’m trying to gain as little weight as possible all while keeping baby healthy and it seems like I’m doing a good job. In case you’re wondering, yes I am eating 3 meals a day and snacks but I eat a lot of healthy stuff, only fruits for snacks, a nutri-grain bar and grapefruit for breakfast, usually a big mixed green salad with chicken or salmon for lunch and dinner is usually some kind of pasta. It’s all about what you eat and moderation. Mike also came to this weeks appointment and got to hear the baby’s heartbeat, which was pretty exciting to share that with someone else because up until now I’m the only one that’s heard it. Week 15 brought on a new pain though, although I have a lot more energy and I’m actually sleeping through the night without the usual 3 or 4 bathroom runs, I have been experiencing the ligament stretching pain (not round ligament pain, it’s called something else but I can’t remember the name). I wish someone would have warned me about this because when I say it’s the most annoying consistent ache and running around at work all day definitely does not help. But it only lasted about 2 days so I guess it was bearable. I think that’s pretty much it for Week 15. Oh yeah this week marks the beginning of trimester #2, WhooHoo! This train is smokin’, and making no pit stops…March will be here before I know it and I couldn’t be more excited!
