Forty Weeks

Week 19

So this week was pretty fun it was Mike’s birthday week and the week we found out the sex of baby, which if you haven’t noticed was a girl so now we can call “baby” she. Let’s see….there wasn’t much excitement this week outside of finding out the sex. Her kicks are becoming extremely noticeable now and I am starting to feel them while I’m standing, before I could only feel them when I would lay down. My energy level is off and on lately it’s like you never know what you’re gonna get each day. I think I have like another month and a half until the 3rd trimester and I can’t wait I don’t know if it’s more of I can’t wait to see her or I’m already sick of being preggers. You literally have to change the way you walk, sit, stand, and sleep and I’m actually quite over it at this point. I’m so missing my sushi and moscato (and yeah yeah yeah, I know this is not all about me but let me have this woosah moment. I’ve been thinking about having a Doula for delivery day. They are birthing coaches that help you to center your energy and really help in focusing your breathing to eliminate the pain. It seems like a really good idea although I plan on walking through the doors requesting an epidural. I just think I’ll have an easier time dealing with the pain with someone that is trained and more knowledgeable about the transition stages in labor and how to deal with them as well as certified in massage therapy (not all doulas are massage therapist but I’ll be choosing one that is). I know my mom, grandmother and aunts will be there but I would feel less guilty snapping on a stranger than a family member or Mike. I think a Doula would benefit everyone involved :-) Well I think that’s all for this week. I’m so happy retail holiday season is almost halfway through, can you believe Thanksgiving is next week! Yeah me either! And I’m super excited because I’m planning to go to Disney in December to finally see the Christmas decorations I’ve been wanting to see them for years. Until next week…
